Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher.
- Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
- If desired, add in the chopped nuts and stir until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove the banana bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice and enjoy your homemade banana bread!
Optional: You can also add chocolate chips, blueberries or any other fruit you like to make it more delicious.
