Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher.
  3. Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. If desired, add in the chopped nuts and stir until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove the banana bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, slice and enjoy your homemade banana bread!

Optional: You can also add chocolate chips, blueberries or any other fruit you like to make it more delicious.
