Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, beat the granulated sugar and egg together until light and fluffy. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon to make the cinnamon swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon swirl mixture. Use a butter knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture through the batter.
- Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm or at room temperature.
